Stoodley leads Panthers past Bowdoin and Salve

BEVERLY, Mass. – Sophomore Casey
Stoodley (Salem, N.H.) recorded 28 kills Friday night to
lead the Plymouth State University women's volleyball team to
victories over Bowdoin College and Salve Regina University in the
first half of the Endicott Invitational.
The Panthers defeated Bowdoin in their first match, 3-1, winning
first two sets 25-16 and 26-24 and closing out the match in game
four, 25-22. PSU came back to defeat Salve Regina in straight
sets to improve to 5-1 on the season.
Stoodley led the Panthers with 16 kills in the win over Bowdoin and
12 kills in the victory over Salve. She also topped the team
with 15 digs against Bowdoin and three aces against Salve.
Freshman Kaitlyn Tedeschi (Pascoag, R.I.)
contributed five blocks on the night, two in the first match and
three against Salve, and junior setter Sarah Cady
(Holliston, Mass.) finished with 65 assists.
The tournament continues on Saturday with PSU facing MIT in its
first match at 11:00 a.m.
