Box Score Jakubas sisters combine for three wins for Panthers
BOSTON – The Plymouth State University women's tennis team dropped a Little East Conference match at the University of Massachusetts Boston, 5-4, with the outcome going down to the final singles match, which was played at Boston College High School.
The Jakubas sisters combined for three of PSU's victories. Senior Zara Jakubas (Califon, N.J.) and junior Sunny Jakubas (Califon, N.J.) combined for a win at No. 1 doubles, and then won their respective No.1 and No. 2 singles matches in straight sets.
The teams each won three singles matches, with UMB prevailing on the strength of wins in two of the three doubles encounters.
