WTEN: Colby-Sawyer stops Panthers

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Freshman Elena Cardoso (Hudson, Mass.) battled to three sets during single play, but visiting Colby-Sawyer College handed Plymouth State University a 9-0 setback in a non-conference women's tennis match at the Holderness School Courts on Thursday afternoon.

Plymouth State will set its sights on Sunday's regular season finale – a Little East Conference (LEC) match with Bridgewater State University that will determine the Panthers' seeding for next week's LEC Tournament.

The winner of Sunday's Senior Day contest will claim the second seed for the tournament and earn a bye into the semifinals. The loser will drop to the third seed and play a first round contest on Tuesday (Oct. 19).
