PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Sophomore
Kyra Donahue (Methuen, Mass.) won three individual events while senior
Madelin Svetin (Topsham, Maine) and junior
MacKenzie Brady (Rochester, N.H.) each won twice to lead Plymouth State University to a narrow 132-126 win over Colby-Sawyer College in a non-conference women's swimming dual meet on Saturday.
Donahue picked up wins in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle and 50-yard butterfly. Svetin shined in the backstroke with a pair of easy wins, while Brady topped the field in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle.
Plymouth State's men's team also swam several exhibition events.
Plymouth State improves to 1-0, while Colby-Sawyer falls to 1-2.

How it Happened:
- Brady was PSU's first winner of the new season with a 2:20.06 in the 200-yard freestyle.
- Svetin followed with a solid performance in the 50-yard backstroke after touching the wall in 29.08.
- Donahue won the first of back-to-back freestyle events with a strong showing in the 50-yard freestyle to post a time of 26.96. After a brief intermission she came back to top the field in the 100-yard freestyle in 59.79.
- Svetin completed the sweep in the backstroke events with a win of more than eight seconds in the 100-yard backstroke after finishing in 1:04.43.
- Brady picked up her second win in the 500-yard freestyle in 6:10.59.
- Donahue capped her day with another win, this time in the 50-yard butterfly, with a time of 28.62.
- Svetin added a second place showing in the 100-yard IM (1:09.53), while senior Jasmine Santiago (Leominster, Mass.) was the runner up in the 100-yard butterfly (1:12.82) and 100-yard backstroke (1:12.83).
- Senior Ellie Wilson (Darnestown, Md.) took second in the 200-yard IM in 2:41.29, while classmate Hannah Bradshaw (Traverse City, Mich.) was second in the 50-yard breaststroke (37.19).
- The Panthers' 200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay teams both finished second.
- Swimming in exhibitions, junior Matt Canfield (Dansbury, Conn.) and senior Ryan Kudish (North Providence, R.I.) each posted the fastest times in three individual events. Canfield was the top PSU finisher in the 50-yard backstroke (29.28), 50-yard freestyle (24.60) and 100-yard freestyle (52.94), while Kudish set the standard in the 50-yard breaststroke (31.84), 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.74) and 100-yard IM (1:07.46).

- The Panthers head to Western Connecticut State University in two weeks (Nov. 13). The women will face WestConn and Rhode Island College in a double dual meet, while the men will swim WestConn in a traditional dual meet, all starting at noon.
