PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Four members of the Plymouth State University women's swimming program were honored by College Sports Communicators for their academic achievements on Tuesday, as the CSC Academic All-District Teams were announced.
Senior
Jackie Gaigals (Rochester, N.H.) and juniors
Laurel Bennett (Rindge, N.H.),
Ollie Kramer (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and
Vickie Ni (Lebanon, N.H.) were each recognized for their academic success and athletic accomplishments.
Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, where First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in late-April.
To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Student-athletes must compete in 75 percent of the institution's meets, finish top-eight at a conference championship meet, or participate in a national championship.
Led by eight-year head coach
Anne Barbeau, the Panthers set multiple program records and earned five medals at the Little East Conference Championships to finish ninth.
