HENNIKER, N.H. – The Plymouth State University men's basketball team saw its four-game win streak snapped in a last possession loss at New England College, 75-73, in non-conference action from Bridges Gym on Saturday afternoon.
 
Sophomore Kyler Bosse (Manchester, N.H.) led the Panthers with 16 points off the bench, while senior Dante Rivera (Lawrence, Mass.) scored 11 points of his own, including a game-tying three-pointer in the final minute, in the losing effort.
 
Rivera's triple knotted the score at 73-73 with just 49 seconds to go, but the Pilgrims got to the rim to take the lead with 26 ticks left on the clock. Plymouth State had two chances to force overtime, but could not connect.
 
Plymouth State falls to 4-2 on the season, while the Pilgrims improve to 2-4.

How it Happened:

• The teams found themselves knotted at 11-11 after the first five minutes of action.
• PSU went on an 8-0 run to take a 19-11 advantage with 12:01 left in the first.
• The Pilgrims responded by going on a 10-0 run of their own to regain a 21-19 lead with 8:45 remaining.
• Bosse answered the call, scoring eight straight Panthers' points to give the visitors a 27-23 lead.
• PSU maintained a narrow lead as both teams battled to a 36-34 halftime score.
• A baseline three with 14:02 to go in the second gave the Pilgrims a 41-39 lead, their first since 8:26 in the first half.
• The Panthers re-took the lead 52-51 six minutes later on a dribble-drive by Bosse for his 12th point off the bench.
• NEC used a 10-2 run midway through the second to gain a seven-point advantage, 61-54, with 5:59 on the clock.
• Rivera struck late with a long range three to tie the game 73-73, but NEC scored in its last possession to go up 75-73.
• The Panthers had two attempts to force OT but came up short in the end.

• The Panthers went 22-of-63 (34.9%) from the floor and 5-of-21 (23.8%) from three.
• PSU was outrebounded 47-42. Each team pulled down 16 offensive boards.
