GORHAM, Maine – Despite not playing in nearly a month, the Plymouth State University men's basketball team showed little rust on the way to an 83-64 win over the University of Southern Maine in a non-conference game at Warren G. Hill Gymnasium on Thursday night.
The Huskies took a 2-0 lead on their opening possession, but PSU responded with a three-pointer and the Panthers would not trail again. PSU shot better than 55% in the opening half to build a comfortable 41-29 lead at the break, and the Panthers were never threatened over the final 20 minutes.
Senior
Devin Cooper (Newfield, N.Y.) was dominant, pouring in 17 points (7-of-11 shooting) and grabbing 15 rebounds, while three other Panthers finished in double figures.
