KEENE, N.H. – Junior
Madelin Svetin (Topsham, Maine) and senior
Cammie Turell (Bowie, Md.) each earned second-place finishes to lead Plymouth State University in a 223-41 setback at Keene State College in a Little East Conference (LEC) women's swimming dual meet at Spaulding Pool on Saturday afternoon.
Svetin took second in the 100-yard backstroke, with Turell finishing just behind the event winner in the 50-yard butterfly while PSU battled the top team in the LEC. The Owls have won 14-straight LEC Championships.
Plymouth State evens its record at 1-1 (1-1 LEC), while the Owls go to 3-0 (3-0 LEC).

How it Happened:
- Svetin took second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:04.78 and added a third-place finish in the 50-yard backstroke in 30.52.
- Turell touched the wall in 28.87 to finish second in the 50-yard butterfly to go with a third-place showing in the 50-yard freestyle (26.78).
- Junior Hannah Bradshaw (Traverse City, Mich.) notched a pair of third-place finishes in the 50-yard breaststroke (37.73) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:23.42).
- Junior Julia Hollinger (Bow, N.H.) and sophomore Sophia Holt (Sylvania, Ohio) both earned two fourth places. Hollinger's came in the 50-yard breaststroke and 100-yard breaststroke, while Holt's were in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard IM.
- Turell, Svetin, Holt and junior Jasmine Santiago (Leominster, Mass.) teamed up to take second in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a total time of 1:56.39.
