How it Happened:
- A hard-fought start to the game would be answered by the defense of both squads to keep the game scoreless.
- The Panther offense would try and strike first, but three shots weren't enough to get one past Gordon freshman keeper Ella Gerrard (Natick, Mass.).
- The second quarter started with freshman Jessica Couture (Dover, N.H.) firing a shot toward the cage, but Gordon's defense was equal to the task and the half ended 0-0.
- The second half began with the Panther offense picking up where it left off, putting seven shots on net in the quarter, but still unable to crack the Fighting Scots' defense.
- The fourth quarter finally saw the green and white break through when Healey tipped in her first career goal off a shot from Temple.
By the Numbers:
- Gerrard's six saves kept the hosts in the game, despite Plymouth State's distinct 15-7 shot advantage.
- PSU's defense was stellar as it limited Gordon to only two shots on net and three penalty corners.
- Antonucci had two saves to earn her first career shutout.
