NEW LONDON, N.H. – Sophomore
Lyden Fogg (Windham, Maine) and freshman
Alex Wasyliko (Londonderry, Vt.) dominated the field to help the Plymouth State University men's swimming team to its first-ever dual meet win in a 148-70 victory over Colby-Sawyer in the season-opener on Saturday.
The duo both broke school records while taking home two individual wins each.
Fogg took a crack at the 50-yard backstroke record and smudged it by almost a full second while winning in 28.78 seconds. Fogg then continued with another win in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:03.84.
Wasyliko followed up with a similar feat as he also won his first of the day in record fashion, topping the field in the 100-yard butterfly in a record time of 57.64 seconds, an astonishing 10 seconds ahead of the previous mark.
Fogg also shattered the 50-yard butterfly record with a time of 25.68 seconds, while the pair finished off the day with winning performances as part of both relay teams.
Plymouth State earns the program's first dual meet win to start the season 1-0, while Colby-Sawyer drops the season opener.

How it Happened:
- Junior Tom Steinberg (Melrose, Mass.) got the Panthers started with a second place finish in the 200-yard IM in 2:31.02.
- Graduate student Ryan Kudish (North Providence, R.I.) teamed up with junior Jason Zink (Stratford, Conn.) as they swept first and second places in the 200-yard freestyle with times of 2:20.66 and 2:46.51.
- The trio of Fogg, sophomore Adam Cilley (Barrington, N.H.) and freshman Brady Lyons (Methuen, Mass.) took control of the 50-yard backstroke as the took first, third and fourth, respectively.
- Wasyliko claimed his first career win in the 100-yard fly in record time alongside Steinberg, who posted his second top-three finish.
- Freshman Brendan Lee (Dover, N.H.) took home another win for the Panthers in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 34.78.
- Sophomore Jimmy Blanco (Stark, N.H.) started his season right with a win in the 100-yard freestyle in 56.48, with Zink right behind him.
- Fogg carried his momentum for another first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke.
- Kudish and Lee took first and third in a tight race in the 100-yard breaststroke with times of 1:09.06 and 1:15.29.
- Fogg concluded with a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle.
- PSU won both relays to cap off the victory over Colby-Sawyer.
