WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – Senior
Kyra Donahue (Methuen, Mass.) made another impressive showing for the Plymouth State University women's swim team in a double dual meet against Eastern Connecticut State and Western New England at the ECSU Sports Center on Saturday.
Donahue snagged another second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle to start off the meet with a season-best time of 27.23 seconds. She also took second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:06.99.
Plymouth State fell to both Eastern Connecticut and Western New England in the dual meets to slip to 0-3 on the season.

How it Happened:
- Sophomore Sam Morales-Barszcz (Meriden, Conn.) jumpstarted the Panthers in the grueling 1000-yard freestyle with a fourth-place finish in 14:26.52.
- Donahue made her first mark in the 50-yard freestyle when she placed second in 27.23 seconds.
- Donahue tag-teamed the 100-yard butterfly with senior Jessica McGregor (New Boston, N.H.), finishing second and fifth in times of 1:06.99 and 1:10.76, respectively.
- Freshman Jackie Gaigals (Methuen, Mass.) claimed another fifth place, finishing the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:05.47.
- Morales-Barszcz struck again in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in a time of 1:20.10 to place fourth overall.
- Freshman Adriana Cepeda (Boston, Mass.) snagged her first top-five finish in the 500-yard freestyle in 7:23.37, and classmate Baillie Mako (Newport, N.H.) was just behind her with a time of 7:27.28.
- McGregor closed out the individual events with a third-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, swimming a time of 1:18.69.
- The foursome of Gaigals, McGregor, Donahue, and sophomore Liana Gobin (Belfast, Maine) placed third in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:55.44.
- Morales-Barszcz, Gobin, Gaigals and Cepeda teamed up for the 400-yard freestyle relay, capping the day off in fourth place with a time of 4:40.58.
