PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Senior
Megan Marshall (Dartmouth, Mass.) surrendered just one game through four total matches and the Plymouth State University women's tennis team swept a rare non-conference double header, topping NVU-Lyndon by identical 7-2, 7-2 scores at the Bank of New Hampshire Field House on Monday afternoon.
Marshall teamed up with sophomore
Tessa LaBarre (North Smithfield, R.I.) to win both of their No. 1 doubles matches without dropping a game. Marshall also did not give up a game in the day's first match at No. 1 singles, cruising to a 6-0, 6-0 win, before rolling to a 6-0, 6-1 victory in her second No. 1 singles match of the day.
PSU goes back above .500 at 3-2, while the Hornets slip to 0-3.

How it Happened:
- Freshman Alyssa Craigie (Gilford, N.H.) and sophomore Elena Cardoso (Hudson, Mass.) flew through their matches at No. 2 doubles, posting 8-1 and 8-0 victories.
- Junior Sarah Asciutto (Manchester, Vt.) rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 decision at No. 2 singles in her first match, before posting an identical 6-1, 6-0 win in the second match of the day.
- At No. 3 singles, LaBarre ripped off a 6-0, 6-2 win in the first match, then cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the nightcap.
- Craigie, playing at No. 4 singles, was perfect in the opener, going 6-0, 6-0, and dropped just a single game in match two for a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
- Cardoso picked up a quick win in the opener when her opponent retired, then coasted to a 6-0, 6-0 win in the second match while playing No. 5 singles.
By the Numbers:
- Lyndon's two points in each match came by forfeit.
- The Panthers improve to 22-0 all-time against NVU-Lyndon.
- Marshall, Asciutto, Craigie and Cardoso all share the team-lead with three singles wins apiece.
