How it Happened:
- Colby-Sawyer had the first opportunity of the game in the 10th minute, but junior Nicolas Cornejo (Durham, N.H.) made a sliding stop then dove on the loose ball.
- The Panthers made a quick counter and sophomore Sondre Asheim (Klepp, Norway) volleyed a ball at midfield that junior Owen Cottrill (New London, N.H.) headed up the left side. Classmate Faisal Abdallah (Concord, N.H.) settled and made an uncontested run before flicking a right-footed shot over the goalkeeper's head from the corner of the box to give PSU the lead in the 11th minute.
- Plymouth State nearly doubled the score in the 23rd minute when Abdallah led Cottrill to the top of the box on the left side, but Cottrill's shot rolled just wide of the far post.
- Six minutes later it looked like the Panthers netted a second goal, only to have it called back due to an offside call.
- Colby-Sawyer pulled even in the 63rd minute when a corner kick skipped past the PSU defense and in.
- Plymouth State's best chance for the game-winner came in the 83rd minute, but a shot off the foot of sophomore Walter Driscoll (Kittery Point, Maine) found the right post.
