PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Seniors
Jessica McGregor (New Boston, N.H.) and
Kyra Donahue (Methuen, Mass.) celebrated
Senior Day in style as the duo combined for a first and five second-place finishes to lead the Plymouth State University women's swim team in a double dual meet against Norwich University and Husson University at the PSU Natatorium on Saturday.
McGregor topped the field in the 50-yard breaststroke, while finishing runner up in the 200-yard breaststroke and 100-yard IM, while Donahue was second in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle and 50-yard butterfly, falling to three separate pool record performances.
Prior to the meet, Plymouth State honored the duo for their contributions to the program during a brief
Senior Day ceremony.

How it Happened:
- McGregor picked up the Panthers' lone victory in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 36.56. She added a second place showing with a season best 2:50.94 in the 200-yard breaststroke and was also runner up in the 100-yard IM in 1:12.72.
- Donahue swam a season-best in the 50-yard freestyle to finish second in 26.93. She was also runner up in the 100-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 59.20, and 50-yard butterfly with a time of 29.08. The winning time in each of the three events established new pool records.
- Freshman Paige Lee (Stratham, N.H.) finished fourth in the 50-yard backstroke, just 0.01 out of a top-three showing, after touching the wall in 32.77. She was also fourth in the 100-yard IM with a season-best 1:16.35 and added a fifth place showing in the 50-yard freestyle in 29.78.
- Sophomore Liana Gobin (Belfast, Maine) took fifth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:38.58.
- Sophomore Sam Morales-Barszcz (Meriden, Conn.) posted a season-best mark to place fifth in the 100-yard IM.
- McGregor, Lee, and Donahue joined up with freshman Jackie Gaigals (Methuen, Mass.) to place third in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a combined time of 2:00.25.
