KEENE, N.H. – Senior Kyra Donahue (Methuen, Mass.) earned three second place finishes to help the Plymouth State University women's swim team to a split of a double dual meet against Little East Conference (LEC) rivals Keene State College and Rhode Island College at Spaulding Pool on Saturday.
 
Donahue kicked off her day with a runner-up in the 100 yard butterfly and was barely out-touched in the 100 yard freestyle to take second by less than a second. She added a second-place finish in the 50 yard butterfly.
 
Senior Jessica McGregor (New Boston, N.H.) added a third-place showing in the grueling 1000 yard freestyle, while freshman Paige Lee (Stratham, N.H.) was third in the 50 yard backstroke.
 
Keene State swept the meet, but the Panthers held off Rhode Island College to finish 1-1 on the day.

Individual Event Top Finishes:

How it Happened:

• McGregor took third in the arduous 1000 yard freestyle after touching the wall in 13:47.48.
• Lee took third in the 50 yard backstroke with a time of 33.47.
• McGregor followed with a fourth place showing in the 50 yard breaststroke after touching the wall in 36.87.
• Donahue opened her day in the 100 yard butterfly where she swam to a solid second place in 1:07.79.
• Lee and freshman Jackie Gaigals (Methuen, Mass.) went four-five in the 50 yard freestyle. Lee finished in 29.62, with Gaigals posting a season-best 29.85.
• Donahue was back at it with another second place finish in the 100 yard freestyle where her time of 59.92 was just 0.82 seconds off the lead. She completed her day with a third runner up performance in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 28.92.
• Lee, McGregor, Donahue and Gaigals teamed up to take third in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 2:08.69.
• The quartet of sophomore Sam Morales-Barszcz (Meriden, Conn.), sophomore Liana Gobin (Belfast, Maine), freshman Adriana Cepeda (Boston, Mass.) and Gaigals took fourth in the 200 yard freestyle relay after combining for a 2:12.32.
