PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University women's soccer team defeated the Nichols College Bisons, 3-2, in a non-conference match on Arold Field Wednesday afternoon.
The Panthers enjoyed a comfortable 2-0 lead as sophomore
Molly Bellmore (Hebron, Conn) put Plymouth State out front in the 21st minute, and assisted on a Panther second goal on a combination play down the left side that gave freshman
Nevaeh Petruzzi (Newmarket, N.H.) all the room she needed to put the team up 2-0 just before half.
The Bison did not go away, scoring goals in the 53rd and 81st minute with all the intentions to steal the win away from Plymouth State, tying the match at two-a-piece. Sophomore substitute
Cass Hanson (Stetson, Maine) made perfect timing for her first collegiate goal to put home the game winner in the 83rd minute. Freshman
Carolynn Skubiszewski (Northampton, Mass.) delivered the game winning assist to secure the three points.
