PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University women's soccer team was defeated by the Rhode Island College Anchorwomen, 3-1, in a Little East Conference (LEC) match on Arold Field Saturday afternoon.
It was the Panthers who took a 1-0 lead when graduate student
Kaliana Palhof (Loudon, N.H.) launched a rocket that shot over the goalkeeper's head from 25 yards away, giving Plymouth State the halftime advantage. Three unanswered goals by the Anchorwomen in the second half, though, ultimately sealed the fate for the Panthers on the afternoon.
Freshman
Nevaeh Petruzzi (Newmarket, N.H.) recorded the Panthers' assist, while classmate
Drea Oswell (Stafford Springs, Conn.) registered two saves in the losing effort.
