WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore
Will Redick (Collingwood, Ontario) and juniors
Ethan Stuckless (Conception Bay South, Newfoundland) and
Cam Patton (Truro, Nova Scotia) each scored twice as #15 Plymouth State University cruised past Worcester State University, 6-0, in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's ice hockey game at Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center on Saturday afternoon.
Patton opened the scoring just over a minute into the opening period and the Panthers never let up. PSU extended the lead to 2-0 late in the first, before Stuckless struck for a pair of goals in the second to push the advantage to 4-0.
Redick continued his season-long scoring barrage with two third-period markers, including a short-handed tally, before Patton capped the dominant effort with his second of the night.
Plymouth State jumps to 16-1-2 (13-0-2 MASCAC), while Worcester State dips to 5-14-0 and 4-11-0 in MASCAC play.

How it Happened:
- Patton opened the floodgates at the 1:24 mark of the opening frame.
- Plymouth State made it 2-0 when freshman Will Pray (Wheaton, Ill.) lit the lamp with 1:31 left in the period.
- Stuckless deposited his first of the afternoon during a power play 4:42 into the second, then tallied his second just over a minute later.
- Redick scored back-to-back goals in the third, striking at the 5:51 mark before tallying a short-handed marker with 6:15 left to play.
- Patton closed out the scoring with his second of the game with 3:51 to play.
By the Numbers:
- With his two tallies, Redick now has an even 20 goals on the season.
- Stuckless has four goals over his last three games, while Patton notched his first multi-goal game of the year.
- Sophomore Brandon Shantz (San Antonio, Texas) made 24 saves to pick up his first career shutout.
- PSU went 1-for-7 on the power play, while the Lancers were 0-for-8 with the man advantage.
- The Panthers owned a 54-24 advantage in shots.
- PSU won nearly 65% of the faceoffs, with Patton winning 14-of-21.
- Plymouth State has outscored the Lancers, 24-2, this season and is 14-0-1 in the head-to-head matchup over the last 15 meetings.
