How it Happened:
- Plymouth State took advantage of a 5-on-3 power play to score the game's first goal with 6:48 left in the opening period. Patton made a pass from behind the goal to sophomore Patrick O'Connell (West Chester, Pa.) at the left dot, who snuck a wrist shot under the glove of the Salem State goaltender for the 1-0 lead.
- PSU wasted little time increasing the margin in the second period when Redick batted home a rebound just 50 seconds into the frame to reach the milestone.
- Salem State took advantage of a 3-on-2 during a Plymouth State shift change to cut the deficit in half, 2-1, at the 8:47 mark of the period.
- The Panthers restored the two-goal margin just under five minutes later when Patton fired a shot from the top right circle into the upper left corner to make it 3-1.
- The Vikings struck in the final minute during another breakaway chance to pull within 3-2 heading to the second intermission.
- The hosts pulled even with a power play tally midway through the third period, but Tracy answered back just 26 seconds later with a blast from the left side as PSU would hold on for the win.
