PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University women's basketball team was defeated by the University of Maine Farmington Beavers, 58-53, in a non-conference match to open the 2024-25 season in Foley Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
In a match that saw Plymouth State in front for more than three quarters, a late surge from the Beavers secured the come-from-behind win to UMF for the second straight season.

Kaley Goodhart (Center Conway, N.H.) led all scorers with 18 points, while graduate student
Sabrina Vlahovic (New Hope, Pa.) recorded a double-double (12 pts, 10 reb), setting the tone for the Panthers on both ends of the floor.
Plymouth State opens the campaign with a 0-1 record, while the Beavers start off at 1-0.

- The Panthers opened play with the first seven points of the contest to take a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter.
- UMF closed the gap to 9-6 with under a minute to play in the first.
- Plymouth State knocked down a free throw for the final point of the opening frame as the Panthers led 10-6 after one.
- The Beavers went on a 10-2 run in the second quarter to take their first lead of the contest 22-19 with 4:20 remaining until halftime.
