WSOC: Petruzzi propels Panthers past UMaine Farmington

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University women's soccer team defeated the University of Maine Farmington Beavers, 2-0, on Arold Field in a Saturday matinee.

Junior Nevaeh Petruzzi (Newmarket, N.H) put the Panthers in front with two goals in the first ten minutes of action, which proved enough to give Plymouth State its third win and shutout of the season. A strong team effort defensively held the Beavers to just one shot in the contest.

Sophomore goalkeeper Drea Oswell (Stafford Springs, Conn.) recorded her first shutout of the year, the third of her career.

Plymouth State improves to 3-1-0, while the Beavers fall to 1-3-0 on the season.
