WESTON, Mass. – Senior
Olivia Bailey (Wrentham, Mass.) and junior
Ollie Kramer (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) teamed up for five individual event wins, but Regis College swam past Plymouth State University, 174-99, in a women's swimming dual meet at Regis Pool on Friday.
Bailey extended her hot start to the season, claiming three more first-place finishes. She extended her mastery of the backstroke, again winning both the 50-yard (32.04) and 100-yard (1:09.39), while also claiming the title in the 100-yard IM in 1:11.57.
Kramer posted victories in the 500-yard and 1,000-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 6:02.85 and 12:27.06, respectively, while senior
Jackie Gaigals (Rochester, N.H.) won the 50-yard butterfly (30.94) and added second-place finishes in the 50-yard breaststroke (37.23) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:23.15).
Freshman
Savana Vieira (Berkley, Mass.) took second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:39.24), while classmate
Caitlyn McIntyre (Duxbury, Mass.) was second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:19.77). Junior
Laurel Bennet (Rindge, N.H.) rounded out the top performances with a second-place showing in the 100-yard freestyle (1:12.09), finishing just ahead of classmate
Vickie Ni (Lebanon, N.H.).
Bailey, Gaigals, McIntyre, and Bennett teamed up for a 2:16.97 to take second in the 200-yard medley relay, while Kramer, McIntyre, Ni, and freshman
Kelsey Kuligowski (Manchester, N.H.) joined forces in the 200-yard freestyle relay for another second-place in 2:09.71.
