PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Seniors
Olivia Bailey (Wrentham, Mass.) and
Jackie Gaigals (Rochester, N.H.), along with junior
Ollie Kramer (Manhattan Beach, Calif.), each posted individual event wins for the Plymouth State University women's swim team in a 176-68 setback to Gordon College in the Panthers' home opener at the PSU Natatorium on Friday evening.
Bailey claimed victory in the 100-yard individual medley (1:09.51) and added second-place finishes in the both the 50-yard backstroke (30.58) and 100-yard backstroke (1:08.06).
Gaigals led the field in the 50-yard breaststroke (37.48) and finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:23.69).
Kramer touched first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:16.08) and earned runner-up honors in the 500-yard freestyle (6:03.37).
The trio teamed up with freshman
Caitlyn McIntyre (Duxbury, Mass.) for a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay, combining for a time of 1:54.88. McIntyre also added a second-place showing in the 100-yard butterfly (1:21.63), and placed third in both the 50-yard butterfly (35.44) and 200-yard IM (2:50.98). Junior
Vickie Ni (Lebanon, N.H.) rounded out the top individual efforts with a third-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (1:17.69).
PSU's 200-yard medley relay team of Kramer, Gaigals, Ni, and freshman
Savana Vieira (Berkley, Mass.) placed third in 2:19.81.
