PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Sophomore
Thomas Kaufield (Calgary, Alberta) scored twice, and senior
Will Redick (Collingwood, Ontario) registered three points for the second consecutive game as Plymouth State University dominated Anna Maria College, 9-1, in non-conference men's ice hockey action at Hanaway Rink on Wednesday night.
Freshman
Kim Hilmersson (Uppsala, Sweden) opened the scoring less than four minutes in, and Kaufield's first goal of the night gave PSU a 3-0 lead heading into the first intermission. Anna Maria briefly slowed the momentum with a rebound goal five minutes into the second period, but senior
Payton Schaly (Orillia, Ontario) answered just one minute later. Redick's team-leading seventh goal of the year extended the margin to 5-1 and forced the AMCATS' starting goalie from the net midway through the frame.
The Panthers added four third-period goals, including Kaufield's second of the game and the first career goal for freshman
Luke Golisano (Carmel, N.Y.), completing the rout.
Junior
Connor Strobel (Butler, Pa.) finished with 23 saves in the winning effort.
