MANCHESTER, N.H. – Freshman
Noah Francis (Bethlehem, N.H.) claimed the lone victory of the day for the Plymouth State University men's track & field team at the SNHU Spring Invite hosted by Southern New Hampshire University at Mark A. Ouellette Stadium on Friday.
Francis finished atop the field in the unseeded section of the 5,000-meters, winning the heat by roughly seven seconds with a time of 16:34.67.
Additionally, the Panthers' 4x100-meter relay of graduate student
Brandon Vachon (Ayer, Mas.), freshman
Gabe Kean (Thornton, N.H.), junior
Nik Snyder (Pelham, N.H.) and freshman
Ty Shipmon (Yonkers, N.Y.) combined for a new program best, crossing the line in 43.38 seconds.
The non-scoring meet featured several NCAA Division II competitors.

- Francis nabbed a win in the unseeded 5,000-meters in 16:34.67, while freshman Peter Swain (Wakefield, Mass.) came in sixth in 17:08.69.
- Vachon, Kean, Snyder and Shipmon combined for a second place finish in the 4x100-meter relay, topping the previous school record by 0.56 seconds.
- Sophomore Cooper O'Neil (Millbury, Mass.) placed fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:28.21.
- Classmate Elijah Thomas (Stoughton, Mass.) ripped through the 110-meter hurdles in 15.95 seconds for a third place finish, while sophomore Shea McLaughlin (Byfield, Mass.) finished sixth in 16.67 seconds.
- Senior Christian Oglesby (Penacook, N.H.) took sixth in the 800-meters in 2:05.26.
- Sophomore Nic Lamontagne (Lebanon, N.H.) broke the 60-second mark in the 400-meter hurdles in 59.06 for fourth overall, with McLaughlin returning for another sixth-place finish in 1:00.53.
- Snyder snagged sixth in the 200-meters in 23.10 seconds.
- Senior Connor Wilcox (Colchester, Conn.) ran 15:20.86 in the seeded 5,000-meters for third place and junior Max Goodman (South Salem, N.Y.) crossed the line in sixth in 15:39.32.
- Freshman Cooper Conklin (Cumberland, R.I.) found himself in second in the hammer throw with a heave of 47.15 meters.
