PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Visiting WestConn exploded for five second-half goals to top Plymouth State University, 5-0, in a Little East Conference (LEC) men's soccer game at Arold Field on Saturday.
Plymouth State held strong through the opening 45 minutes to keep the game scoreless. The Panthers' best chance of the half came in the closing minutes, but was wiped out by a questionable offsides call. The Wolves came out firing after the break, scoring twice in a 14-second span in the 55th minute, then adding three more goals to seal the win.
Plymouth State moves to 2-4-1 (0-1-1 LEC), while WestConn moves to 4-4-2 (2-0-0 LEC).

How it Happened:
- WestConn controlled much of the possession in the first half, but the Panthers' defense limited quality scoring chances.
- Plymouth State's best look came on a beautiful through ball from sophomore Colby Cowan (Oakdale, Conn.) in the closing minutes, but an offsides flag ended the breakout chance and the game remained scoreless into halftime.
- The Wolves broke through in the 55th minute, scoring twice in 14 seconds – first on a flick over the goalkeeper, then on a rocket to the corner from 20 yards out.
- WestConn extended the lead with goals in the 67th and 69th minutes before icing the game with a final tally in the 73rd minute.
