BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Senior
Olivia Bailey (Wrentham, Mass.) and junior
Ollie Kramer (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) each posted a pair of top-two finishes to anchor the Plymouth State University women's swim team in a triple dual meet with Bridgewater State and Clark University at Dr. Mary Jo Moriarty Pool on Saturday.
Bailey won the 50-yard freestyle in a season-best time of 27.00 seconds, while placing second in the 100-yard freestyle in 59.74.
Kramer was the winner of the 500-yard freestyle in 5:49.92 and used a season-best mark of 2:11.74 to finish as the runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle.
Junior
Emma Hannigan (Huntington Station, N.Y.) placed third in the 50-yard freestyle, swimming a PR of 30.62 seconds.
Senior
Jackie Gaigals (Rochester, N.H.) had a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 100-yard individual medley (1:11.84) and the 100-yard breaststroke, where she posted a season-best 1:20.65.
Junior
Gabby Gladu (Lewiston, Maine) also earned two fourth-place showings, scoring 145.55 points on the 1-meter board while touching the wall in 1:19.48 in the 100-yard butterfly.
Junior
Laurel Bennett (Rindge, N.H.) was fourth in the 500-yard freestyle in 7:10.19 and secured a significant PR in the 100-yard individual medley, topping her previous mark by just shy of four full seconds to finish in 1:20.21.
Junior
Vickie Ni (Lebanon, N.H.) rounded out the top individual performances with a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:33.01.
In relays, Bailey, Gaigals, Gladu, and Bennett teamed up for a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with a combined time of 2:11.05. Kramer, Hannigan, Ni, and freshman
Savana Vieira (Berkley, Mass.) were fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 2:04.80.
