PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Junior
Lexi Berrettini (Lake Bluff, Ill.) scored three goals and added an assist to lead Plymouth State University to a 7-1 victory over the University of Massachusetts Boston in a Little East Conference (LEC) field hockey game at Panther Field on Saturday. The game served as PSU's
Morgan's Message Game, part of an initiative aimed at eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community.
The Panthers came out firing, taking an early lead when sophomore
Claire Toleman (Cambridge, N.Y.) scored her first goal of the season just 3:50 into the contest. Berrettini followed less than three minutes later, scoring on a feed from senior
Sarah Adamske (Windham, N.H.) to make it 2-0. Junior
Georgia Coleman (North Conway, N.H.) added her fourth goal of the season before Berrettini scored again to close out the first-quarter scoring and give the Panthers a 4-0 lead.
Freshman
Amelia Avery (Campton, N.H.) scored her fourth goal of the season midway through the second quarter as the Panthers carried a commanding 5-0 lead into halftime.
PSU continued its offensive dominance early in the third quarter when sophomore
