NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Senior
Hailey Malozzi (Maynard, Mass.) has been selected to compete in the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Senior All-Star Classic, the organization announced on Friday.
Malozzi, who led the Panthers in both scoring and rebounding, will join 23 other top seniors from New England Division III programs in the annual event next Saturday (Mar. 28) at Smith College at 4 p.m.
Spectators are welcome to attend, and the game will also be streamed live on the
NEWMAC Sports Network.
Malozzi had a spectacular season, posting career highs in nearly every statistical category, including points, points per game, field goals made, field goal percentage, three-point percentage, free throws made, free throw percentage, offensive rebounds, total rebounds, rebounds per game, assists, assists per game and blocks. She finished the year averaging team highs of 13.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
Led by third-year head coach
Curtis Arsenault, the Panthers went 10-15 after posting the best start since the 2009-10 season.
