PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University men's lacrosse team will host the Scotland National Team for an exhibition contest on Monday, Oct. 19, head coach Mike Wilus announced on Thursday.
 
The Scottish squad will be coming to the U.S. to play a series of exhibitions against NCAA Division I, II and III schools throughout the New England region in preparation for the 2027 World Lacrosse Men's Championship Division II in Wroclaw, Poland in July, 2027. The tournament marks the inaugural men's second-tier global tournament after World Lacrosse narrowed the premier tier (Division I) to a field of 16 teams.
 
"We are very excited to welcome the Scottish men's lacrosse team to Plymouth State this fall," said Wilus. "This will be a great opportunity for our student-athletes to compete against an international team, meet new people, and learn more about the game from a different perspective. To have a team preparing to represent Scotland at the World Games on our campus is a special experience, and we are looking forward to sharing the field with them while making some great memories."
 
The free event will be played under the lights at Panther Field, with the opening faceoff set for 7 p.m.
