Plymouth State University

Rachel Springmann joined the Plymouth State University Sports Medicine team at the start of 2022 and was elevated to Associate Athletic Trainer in January 2024.
 
A New Hampshire native, she earned a B.S. in Athletic Training from Colby-Sawyer College in 2016. After completing her degree, Springmann worked with the University of New Hampshire on research for helmetless tackling and head impacts in high school football. She was the Athletic Trainer for the Winnisquam Regional School District from 2016-17, before coming to Plymouth State as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer from 2017-19, working with the women's soccer and wrestling programs.
 
Springmann completed her M.S. in Post-Professional Athletic Training at PSU in 2019 and returned to her alma mater as an Athletic Trainer from 2019-21 before being promoted to Head Athletic Trainer for the Chargers in August, 2021. While at Colby-Sawyer she worked predominantly with the cross country, women's soccer, women's basketball and women's 7's rugby teams.
 
Springmann came back to Plymouth State in 2022, before her promotion to Associate Athletic Trainer. She currently provides services for the football and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track & field teams.
