Bonnie Lord begins her 23rd season at Plymouth State in 2022-23. Since joining the Panther staff prior to the 2000 campaign, she has guided the program to 17 winning seasons in 21 years (not counting the three-game COVID-shortened 2020 season), missing the postseason just twice during that span. Under Lord's guidance, PSU has made three NCAA Tournament appearances (2000-02) and earned 11 ECAC New England Tournament berths, including ECAC titles in 2004, 2010, 2012 and 2014.

Lord recorded her 200th collegiate coaching victory in October of 2014, becoming the 22nd active coach and 37th coach in NCAA Division III history to reach the 200-win milestone. She entered the 2020 season ranked 13th in wins among active NCAA Division III coaches and 27th all-time. Her .657 winning percentage was 26th among active DIII coaches, and ranked 32nd all-time.

PSU made eight consecutive ECAC post-season appearances under Lord from 2007-14, including seven straight ECAC championship games. She has also led the Panthers to five Little East Conference regular season titles (2000-02, ‘05, ‘15) and three LEC Tournament titles (2000-02).

A two-time LEC Coach of the Year honoree (2000, ‘02), Lord was named the New England West Region Coach of the Year by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association in 2001. PSU’s all-time winningest field hockey coach, Lord has led the Panthers to a 165-66 mark (.714) against LEC opponents.

Prior to joining the Panthers, Lord coached field hockey at Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro, N.H., for 20 years. She led the team to 11 state finals from 1980-1999, winning six championships and posting a career record of 244-52-34. A three-time NHIAA Coach of the Year, Lord was inducted into the New Agenda: Northeast Women's Hall of Fame in 1994, received Coach of the Year honors from the National Federation Interscholastic Coaches Association in 1997 and received the prestigious Walter A. Smith Coaches Award in 1998.

A graduate of Green Mountain College, Lord was very involved with the grassroots organization of the U.S. Field Hockey Association's Future's Program from 1990-2000. She served as the Northeast Regional Director (1990-1996), coached the 1995 USA Under-16 Select Team to compete in The Netherlands International Easter Tournament and has coached several US Olympians. Coach Lord founded Stick & A Smile Youth Field Hockey Camps in 1986 and was the founder and Head Coach of the USFHA Hockey Festival Team, The NH Northern Lights, from 1992-2000.
