High School

A 2011 graduate of Framingham High School in Framingham, Mass., Curran was a three-year letter winner in lacrosse and four-year letter winner in ice hockey. In ice hockey, she earned Boston Globe Honorable Mention Team All-Star and Metrowest Daily News All-Star honors her senior year. Curran was also the recipient of the Dennis Moran Most Valuable Person Award in 2011. She was coached by 1995 PSU graduate Stacey Freda. Freda was inducted into the PSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004 for being one of the top athletes in school history starring on the women's lacrosse and women's soccer teams.

Personal

Casey Elizabeth Curran is the daughter of Tom and Pam Curran. Her father Tom was a lacrosse goalie at UMass Amherst. She has one brother (Patrick) who was a lacrosse goalie at Emerson College. Curran's Uncle (Charles Curran) is a 1976 graduate of Plymouth State and was an All-American lacrosse player for the Panthers. He also was a member of the wrestling and football teams. Curran's Aunt (Mary Ann (Buckley) Curran) is a 1976 graduate of Plymouth State and starred on the women's tennis and lacrosse teams.
