Mark Legacy joined the Plymouth State University Sports Medicine team at the start of the 2005-06 academic year.
 
A New Hampshire native, Legacy earned a B.S. in Physical Education-Sports Medicine from Keene State College in 1989. Following graduation, he pursued a Master's Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Maine where he earned his degree in 1991. While serving as a Graduate Assistant for the Black Bears, he provided athletic training services for Division I-AA football and D-I men's basketball.
 
Prior to coming to Plymouth State, Legacy served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Dartmouth College for 11 years while working with a wide variety of sports including D-I men's soccer, women's basketball and Division I-AA football.
 
Legacy currently provides athletic training services for the women's volleyball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's skiing, and men's lacrosse programs. He also serves as a preceptor in the CAATE approved Athletic Training Education Program. 
 
Legacy is a member of the university's Title IX team and actively serves on the Plymouth State Athletic Hall of Fame committee. He previously served on the sub-committee for the development of ALLWell. In 2014, he was promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics.
 
Legacy is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and is licensed in the State of New Hampshire.
