              HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth College men's basketball team returned from final exams on Sunday by overwhelming an undersized Plymouth State University squad, 96-47, at Leede Arena.

              For Dartmouth, 11 of the 12 players who suited up scored and the team's 49-point margin of victory was its largest since Jan. 21, 1991 when it defeated Clark University by 50. Dartmouth is now 2-5 overall, while the Panthers, playing their third game in four days heading into final exams, dropped to 4-6 on the season.

              Junior Robby Pride (Denver, Colo.) came off the bench and did not miss a shot all day for the Big Green, scoring a game- and career-high 14 points.  He hit all six field goal attempts, including a three-pointer, plus one free throw to finish off a three-point play.

              Pride was one of six players in double figures for the Big Green -- freshman David Rufful (Warwick, R.I.) scored a career-best 13 on 5-of-6 field goals; senior Alex Barnett (St. Louis, Mo.) had 12, freshman Jabari Trotter (Northridge, Calif.) tallied 11, and senior Kurt Graeber (Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.) and sophomore Ronnie Dixon (Danville, Ill.) each chipped in 10.

              Junior Bryan Tracy (Manchester, N.H./Central) was the lone Panther in double figures with 10 points, hitting 4-of-7 from the floor, including both of his three-point attempts.

              Plymouth State had a tough time shooting the ball against the taller Dartmouth squad, hitting just 29.8 percent (17-of-57) on the afternoon. The Big Green size advantage was very pronounced on the glass where they snared 46 rebounds compared to just 21 for the Panthers. Dartmouth also outscored PSU in the paint by a 50-20 margin.

              While PSU struggled from the floor, Dartmouth torched the nets at a 61.7 percent clip (37-of-60) and 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from downtown. The Green also hit 15-of-17 (.882) from the foul line. Each of those percentages are the best of the season so far for Dartmouth.

              Plymouth State kept the game close for the first seven minutes of the game before Dartmouth took over. Holding a 13-10 advantage, the Big Green scored 20 of the next 28 points. By the end of the half, Dartmouth led by 24 at 46-22. The Big Green did not let up in the second half, starting with a 16-4 spurt to push the lead to 36 points, and put the game out of reach.

              After final exams and the holidays, PSU returns to action on Tuesday, Jan. 6, with a home game against Bowdoin College (4:00 p.m.)  Dartmouth plays again at home on Wednesday against Quinnipiac (5-3) at 7 p.m.
