assist Saturday night as Plymouth State University defeated the
host Framingham State University Rams 9-1 in Massachusetts State
Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's ice hockey
action.
The Panthers improve to 3-1-2 overall on the year and 1-1-2 in

Framingham State took a 1-0 lead just 5:13 into the game as

The Rams' lead would prove to be short lived as just under a
minute later senior Andrew Stewart (O'Leary,
PEI) scored the game tying goal off assists from Travis
Stevens (Montclair, Cal.) and Kyle
Greco (Hillside, IL). Stevens would put the
Panthers ahead for good midway through the first with his tally and
Kriner (right) scored his first of the game with just
under two minutes remaining in the period off assists from Greco,
who finished the game with three assists, and Alex
Cottle (West Chester, Pa.) to give the Panthers a 3-1 lead
after one.
The Panthers added four more goals in the second period as Kriner
scored twice and sophomores Richie Zobak
(Evergreen Park, Ill.) and Sean Foley (Weymouth,
Mass.) each scored once to push the Panther lead to 7-1 after
two. The Panthers added two more in the third as Kriner
scored his fourth of the game and Cottle, who finished the game
with four assists, scored at 16:52 to reach the final margin of
9-1.

up the win in net for the Panthers making 21 saves in two periods
of work, while freshman Tyler Ingerson (Concord,

debut. Freshman Nick Cafrelli (San Jose, CA) made 20 saves
for the Rams before being replaced by senior Terence Sullivan
(Shirley, Mass.) who also made 20 stops.
