FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Sophomore Jenn
Foley (Tewksbury, Mass.) scored a career-high five goals
Thursday afternoon as the Plymouth State University women's
lacrosse team cruised to a 21-7 non-conference win over the
Framingham State Rams at Maple Street Field.
Foley also picked up a career-high seven points in the game with
her five goals and two assists, while senior Kalie
Judd (Peabody, Mass.) and junior Kathryn
Rogers (Wolfeboro, N.H.) each picked up six points with
three goals and three assists. Sophomore Brianna
Davis (Framingham, Mass.) chipped in three goals to go
along with two assists, while senior Kerry
D'Ambroise (Lowell, Mass.) also scored three goals.
Judd recorded a game-high six draw controls, four ground balls and
three caused turnovers as the Panthers posted their second win in
three days to improve to 6-4 overall. The loss drops the Rams
to 5-5.
The Rams were paced by sophomore Kerry Kiley (Mansfield, Mass.) who
picked up three goals, while Stephanie Corrales (Framingham, Mass.)
and Chelsea Temple (Rutland, VT) added a goal and an assist each.
Leading 6-3 midway through the first half, the Panthers scored
seven unanswered goals to close the first half and take a
commanding 12-3 lead at the break. PSU extended their lead to
as many as 14 goals in the second half as they outshot the Rams
32-23 in the game.
The Rams return to action on Saturday as they travel to Castleton
State at 6 p.m., while the Panthers play two Little East Conference
doubleheaders this weekend – Saturday at Western Connecticut
(12 noon) and Sunday at home against Rhode Island College (1:00
p.m.)
