Box Score Panthers fall to NESCAC power
BRUNSWICK, Maine – Plymouth State University scored the first and last goals of the game, but in between it was all #13 Bowdoin College as the Polar Bears rolled to a 21-2 win in a non-conference women's lacrosse game at Howard F. Ryan Field on Wednesday evening.
PSU went ahead at 27:26, but the Polar Bears answered with an 11-0 run over the next 12 minutes and the hosts took a 12-1 lead at the half. Bowdoin scored the first nine goals of the second half before the Panthers closed the scoring in the final seconds.
Plymouth State drops to 1-2, while the Polar Bears pick up their first win of the year to move to 1-1.

How it Happened.
- Junior Victoria Hernandez (Danvers, Mass.) gave the Panthers the lead 2:34 into the game, but the Polar Bears answered with 12 straight goals to build a commanding lead at the half.
- Bowdoin continued to flex its offensive muscle to open the second half, scoring nine straight times.
- Junior Meg McAndrew (South Windsor, Conn.) capped the scoring with her fourth tally of the year in the final minute.
Inside the Numbers:
- McAndrew also tallied an assist to post her second multi-point game of the year.
- Junior Meaghan Allard (Amherst, N.H.) made four saves in the opening half before giving way to freshman Sam Porter (Weare, N.H.) who stopped two shots in the second.
- Allard fell to 1-2 on the season.
- Porter picked up a team-high four ground balls, while sophomore Devon Mello (Laconia, N.H.) led the Panthers with three draw controls.
