PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Heading into the final weekend of the regular season the Plymouth State University women's volleyball team is still among the nine regionally ranked teams by the NCAA.
 
Plymouth State is ranked seventh in Region I, ahead of Little East Conference (LEC) rivals Keene State (No. 8) and Western Connecticut State (No. 9).
 
Region I is made up of 43 programs and includes teams from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), North Atlantic Conference (NAC) and LEC.
 
With just two regular season games left on the slate the Panthers are looking to put the finishing touches on a historic season. PSU (22-1, 8-0 LEC) posted its first unbeaten LEC regular season in program history and has locked up the regular season title and top seed for next week's LEC Tournament.
 
Plymouth State will square off with a pair of NEWMAC powers on Saturday (Oct. 30) at Smith College. PSU faces Babson College, ranked third in Region II, at 2:00 p.m., before playing the host Pioneers at 4:00 p.m. Smith appeared in last week's regional rankings.
 
PSU also appears in the latest New England Women's Volleyball Association (NEWVA) poll ranking 12th with 33 points.
