PLYMOUTH, N.H. – With the Little East Conference (LEC) Tournament semifinals just hours away, the Plymouth State University women's volleyball team remains among the top regionally ranked teams by the NCAA.
 
Plymouth State (23-2) still holds the #7 spot in Region I. The Panthers split a pair of matches last weekend to wrap up an incredible regular season, falling to the #2 team in Region II, Babson College, 3-0 before toppling Smith College, ranked #7 in Region II, by the same score.
 
The top-seeded Panthers are set to host fifth-seeded Eastern Connecticut State University in the LEC Tournament semifinals tonight (6:00 p.m.) at Foley Gymnasium. PSU rallied from a 2-1 deficit when the teams met during the regular season to earn a 3-2 win and cap a perfect LEC regular season.
 
The game is a rematch of the 2019 semifinals when PSU, as the third seed, upset the second-seeded Warriors in five sets to advance to the title match.
 
Region I is made up of 43 programs and includes teams from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), North Atlantic Conference (NAC) and LEC.
