MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Junior
Chantelle Ross (Ottawa, Ontario) scored with less than six minutes in regulation to help Plymouth State University secure a 1-1 tie with Anna Maria College in a non-conference women's ice hockey game at the New England Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.
The AMCATS got on the board midway through the opening period and the single goal lead held into the third period. Ross buried her third of the season at the 14:10 mark of the period to send the game to overtime, where neither team was able to come away with the win.
Plymouth State goes to 2-1-1, while Anna Maria moves to 0-2-1.

How it Happened:
- Plymouth State came out aggressive, firing ten shots in the opening eight minutes, but the AMCATS goaltender was up to the challenge.
- Anna Maria struck first at the 10:55 mark of the opening stanza and despite another six shots in the period the Panthers would trail, 1-0, at the first intermission.
- PSU would continue to pressure through the second period, but again Anna Maria kept the Panthers off the board despite a pair of power play opportunities and the score remained 1-0 into the third period.
- Plymouth State finally pulled even with just 5:50 left in regulation when Ross converted a feed from junior Addie Swanson (Eagle River, Alaska) and sophomore Robyn Grant (Airdrie, Alberta).
- During the extra frame the AMCATS kept steady pressure on the PSU defense, but senior Olivia Petito (Jacksonville, Fla.) turned aside all four shots she faced to preserve the tie.
By the Numbers:

- The Panthers were held scoreless on four power play chances, while the AMCATS were 0-for-1.
