PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Plymouth State University women's basketball team fell to Rhode Island College, 62-35, in a Little East Conference (LEC) women's basketball game at Foley Gymnasium on Monday evening.
The Panthers started the game on a 13-2 run which was trimmed to a five-point advantage after the first quarter. The Anchorwomen, unbeaten in LEC play, found their stride and slowly drifted further away to move to 11-0 in league games.

Plymouth State drops to 1-11 (0-7 LEC) on the season, while RIC improves to 16-4 and 11-0 in the LEC.

How it Happened:
- The Panthers came out swinging, opening the game with a 13-2 run over the first four minutes of play.
- RIC found its legs, cutting the margin to five points (19-14) to close out the first quarter.
- The Anchorwomen gained their first lead of the game on a three-pointer to go up, 22-19, with 6:51 on the clock in the second.
- RIC extended its lead to 13, 34-21, with 2:33 left until halftime.
- PSU scored six straight points to cut the lead back to seven, 34-27, with under a minute to play.
- The Anchorwomen scored a final bucket before the half to lead 36-27 at the break.
- PSU was outscored 13-4 in the third quarter and RIC pulled away in the fourth to close out the victory.

- The Panthers went 14-of-57 (24.6%) from the floor and 7-of-9 (77.8%) from the free throw line.
- The teams were even on rebounds, 45-45, with PSU edging out RIC on the defensive glass, 29-28.
