FH: Comeau scores again as Panthers blank Salem St.

SALEM, Mass. – Junior Athena Comeau (Rutland, Mass.) scored for the sixth straight game and classmate Piper Sherbert (Freeport, Maine) made four saves for her first career shutout as Plymouth State University blanked Salem State University, 4-0, in a Little East Conference (LEC) field hockey matchup on Alumni Field on Tuesday night.

Sophomore Amy Cohen (Concord, N.H.) opened the scoring on an assist from junior Taylor Healey (Campton, N.H.) at the ten-minute mark of the first quarter for an early 1-0 lead. Despite a flurry of chances, the margin remained just 1-0 heading into halftime.

The Panthers pressured throughout the third quarter but couldn't seem to find the bounced they needed. Comeau finally pounced early in the fourth quarter to give PSU a 2-0 lead and some momentum.
