PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Sophomore
Crosby Fay (Waterville Valley, N.H.) scored four times and added an assist, but Massachusetts Maritime Academy used a 10-0 run to get past Plymouth State University, 14-10, in Little East Conference (LEC) men's lacrosse action at Panther Field on a soggy Saturday afternoon.
Fay scored back-to-back goals during a 5-0 spurt as the Panthers took a 7-3 lead with 4:18 left in the second quarter, but Mass. Maritime stormed back with three straight goals to trim the margin to 7-6 at the half. The Buccaneers ripped off seven straight times to start the third, leapfrogging in front, 13-7. PSU recorded three of the final four goals in the contest, but it wasn't enough to reclaim the lead.

- The visitors scored twice in the first three minutes of the second quarter to take a 3-2 lead, but PSU roared back with five unanswered goals to take control.
- Drew set up sophomore Nolan Burke (Worcester, Mass.) to start the streak, which included a pair of tallies from Fay and single scores from freshman Matt Miner (Chelmsford, Mass.) and sophomore Ryan Hanlon (Hull, Mass.), as the Panthers went up 7-3.
- Mass. Maritime chipped away at the lead over the next four minutes, pulling to within 7-6 by halftime.
- The visitors stormed out of the gates in the second half, burying the first seven goals of the third quarter, including a barrage of five in a 3:34 span, to pull ahead 13-7.
- Senior Riley Roy (Laconia, N.H.) stopped the momentum with a goal with just seven seconds left, but MMA won the ensuing faceoff and answered just before the horn for a 14-8 lead after three.
