PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Ten different players found the back of the cage and junior
Sarah Schartner (Plymouth, N.H.) poured in a career-high six points as Plymouth State University sank Rhode Island College, 19-1, in Little East Conference (LEC) women's lacrosse action at Panther Field on Saturday.

Emily Santom (Litchfield, N.H.) finished with four goals and two assists as the Panthers won for the 14th straight time against the Anchorwomen.
PSU improves to 9-3 and stays unbeaten in the LEC (3-0), while Rhode Island College drops to 1-6 and 0-3 in conference play.

How it Happened:
- Junior Olivia Croke (Norwell, Mass.) opened the scoring 1:29 into the game to spark a run of 16 straight goals for the Panthers.
- Plymouth State led 9-0 after one, with Santom, Schartner and sophomore Tarryn O'Brien (Weymouth, Mass.) each scoring twice.
- The Panthers slowed the pace in the second quarter, but still ripped off six goals. Santom poured in two more, while junior Jalen Cook (Monkton, Vt.) added her first career goal and senior Emily Duffley (Plymouth, Mass.) notched her first of the year.
- Senior Devon Mello (Laconia, N.H.) and junior Autumn Nelson (Weare, N.H.) scored for the Panthers in the third quarter, sandwiched around Rhode Island College's lone goal. Nelson's tally was her first of the year.
- The Panthers coasted to the win with two more Schartner goals in the final frame.
By the Numbers:
- Schartner's six points were a career high, while O'Brien finished with three goals.
- Juniors Julia Mahoney (Stratford, Conn.) and Amelia Thomas (Hopkinton, N.H.) also scored for the Panthers.
- Sophomore Piper Sherbert (Freeport, Maine) made one save in the first half to improve to 9-3, while sophomore Amanda Auditore (Medford, Mass.) stopped two shots in the second half.
- Santom's 37 goals rank third in the Little East.
- Freshman Sarah Giniewicz (Pelham, N.H.) snagged a game-high five ground balls and added a caused turnover.
- Plymouth State won the ground ball battle by a 21-9 margin and went 9-for-11 on clear attempts while limiting the Anchorwomen to 7-of-16.
- Plymouth State improves to 20-1 all-time against Rhode Island College and has won the last 14 matchups. The Panthers' lone loss to RIC came in the 2008 season.
