How it Happened:
- Stogner notched a set-opening kill and Butler followed with three straight aces as the Panthers got off to a quick start. The Hornets pulled to within 6-3, but a Sanderson kill sparked a 12-1 run. Junior Nora Ryan (Groton, Conn.) and Sanderson combined for six aces in the surge and moments later Duymazlar served out the final six points for the win.
- Stogner had a pair of aces and junior Ryley McNeeley (Easton, Mass.) added two kills as PSU got out to another early lead. An error pulled the hosts to within 8-3, but senior Emilee Flanagan (Milton, N.H.) answered with a kill and Duymazlar ripped off three aces to push the margin to double digits. PSU would maintain the sizeable lead the rest of the way, with Flanagan's kill closing out the 25-8 win.
- Plymouth State raced out to an 8-2 lead with more strong serving from Butler and Stogner as the duo combined for five aces. The Hornets got a kill to make it 12-5, but senior Natalie Gravelle (Portsmouth, N.H.) found the floor and Sanderson served 10-straight points to push the margin to 23-5. The hosts briefly stopped the streak, but Stogner and Ryan notched back-to-back kills to close out the sweep.
