MSWIM: Fogg sets record in setback to Eastern Connecticut

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Junior Lyden Fogg (South Portland, Maine) set a new school record while winning the 200-yard freestyle but Eastern Connecticut State University swam past the Plymouth State University men's swim team, 191-62, in a dual meet at Alumni Healthful Living Center Pool at Western New England University on Saturday.

Fogg was the Panthers' lone event winner after an outstanding effort in the 200-yard freestyle. His time of 1:58.66 was more than two seconds faster than the previous mark and a more impressive ten seconds ahead of his previous fastest time.

He added one of PSU's four second-place finishes in the 100-yard backstroke, while freshmen Aidan Moyer (Leesport, Pa.) and Aiden MacDonald (Hopkinton, Mass.) and junior Jimmy Blanco (Stark, N.H.) also posted runner-up finishes.
