WELLESLEY, Mass. – Senior
Brady Lyons (Methuen, Mass.) and junior
Marco D'Addona (Torrington, Conn.) each set personal records to lead the Plymouth State University men's swim team on day two of the Little East Conference (LEC) Championships at the Boston Sports Institute on Saturday.
Lyons twice established new personal best times in the 50-yard butterfly, ultimately finishing seventh in the event. D'Addona posted his PR in the consolation finals of the 200-yard freestyle.
Through the second day of competition, Plymouth State has earned 107 points to rank sixth in the team standings.
Meet Highlights:
- Lyons set a new personal-best time of 24.85 seconds in the preliminaries of the 50-yard butterfly. He was even faster in the championship finals, swimming a 24.58 to place seventh.
- D'Addona qualified in 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:00.53. He finished second in the consolation finals with a career-best 1:57.92 – surpassing his previous mark by 1.75 seconds.
- Senior Brendan Lee (Dover, N.H.) advanced in the 100-yard breaststroke after qualifying 10th in 1:03.92. He was a touch faster in the consolation finals, swimming a 1:03.68 to place second.
- Senior Cory Boisselle (Methuen, Mass.), Lee, Lyons, and D'Addona teamed up in the 200-yard medley relay to finish sixth with a season-best time of 1:49.38.

- The championships conclude with the final day of action on Sunday (Feb. 15). Prelims begin at 10:00 a.m., with finals set for 5:30 p.m.
