PLYMOUTH, N.H. – For the third straight year, four members of the Plymouth State University football program were honored when the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) announced the newest members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society.
Graduate student
Thanos Boulukos (Old Bethpage, N.Y.) was joined by seniors
Sam Bolinsky (Stow, Mass.),
Manny Sanchez (Hartford, Conn.) and
Christian Paillet (Nashua, N.H.) as Plymouth State's inductees.
Plymouth State joined Bridgewater State as the only two Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) teams to have any honorees.
Nominated by their schools, members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society must have completed their final year of playing eligibility in Fall 2022 or Spring 2023, attained a 3.20 cumulative grade point average throughout their entire course of undergraduate study, met all NCAA or NAIA-mandated progress toward degree requirements and been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2022-23 season. Graduated student-athletes who have remaining eligibility but will not return to play collegiate football are also eligible for nomination.
A total of 1,734 athletes from 328 colleges and universities were honored as the Society celebrates its 17th year.
"We are thrilled to honor another impressive group of athletes as part of this year's Hampshire Honor Society," said NFF President and CEO Steve Hatchell. "Over the last 17 years, the Hampshire Honor Society has served as a powerful vehicle for schools to recognize their college football players who have distinguished themselves both academically and athletically, and we congratulate the schools and each of these young men for their commitment to excellence in all aspects of their lives."
