WTEN: Panthers fend off WestConn for LEC win

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – Seniors Camilla Puzio (Holden, Mass.) and Sarah Asciutto (Manchester Center, Vt.) and junior Amelia Brown (Meredith, N.H.) took home multiple wins to help Plymouth State University edge out Western Connecticut State University, 5-4, in Little East Conference (LEC) women's tennis action at Middlebury Racquet Club on Saturday afternoon.

Puzio teamed up with junior Tessa LaBarre (North Smithfield, R.I.) in No. 2 doubles to account for PSU's first win in an 8-2 result, while Ascuitto and Brown nabbed an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles.

Puzio and Ascuitto would later go on to win their respective singles matches, with both going the distance, while Brown swept her two sets at No. 6 singles to put the Panthers ahead by the 5-4 score.
